Court ordered Demarcation Dispute in Gbarzon Jarwodee and Gbarzon Juluzon, Grand Gedeh County.

The Liberia Land Authority Land Dispute team along with surveyors and SAMFU representative Lawrence Myers lately enforce a court order for the demarcation of disputed land between the Zeayedee family of Gbarzon Jarwodee and the community of Gbarzon Juluzon.

The LLA team introduced the court order to the District Superintendent and the City Mayor of Gbarzon Jarwodee as well as visited the Magistrate Court but later found out that the magistrate was absent for two days.

At the same time, the LLA team held a consultative meeting with the citizens of Gbarzon Juluzon. During the meeting, the community secretary read the court order to the community members.

The citizens of Gbarzon Juluzon refused to comply with the court order, insisting that any demarcation should begin from the motor car road and be conducted between the towns of Jarwodee and Juluzon, rather than on the disputed land itself.

In contrast, the Zeayedee family of Jarwodee agreed to the demarcation on the disputed land, while the Juluzon community remained opposed.

Photos documenting these activities were taken during the proceedings in both communities.
